DcaPOS is not a trading company that resells catalog hardware. Since 2013 we have designed, engineered and manufactured POS terminals, self-service kiosks, all-in-one PCs and commercial displays in our own Shenzhen facility — and that is exactly what we put behind your project. From a single custom-branded batch to a fully bespoke product line, you get one team responsible for design, tooling, production, quality and after-sales support.
Whether you are a POS software vendor looking for a hardware arm, a distributor building a private-label range, or a chain operator standardising equipment across hundreds of stores, the service model below is built around one question: how do we get reliable hardware into your market faster and at a lower total cost?
What Our Manufacturing Service Covers
1. Product Design & Engineering
Our in-house hardware and software engineering teams translate your requirement — screen size, CPU platform, printer integration, mounting, I/O layout, industrial design language — into a manufacturable specification. We work from your drawings when you have them, and from a blank page when you do not. Board-level design, firmware customisation, enclosure design and thermal/EMC considerations are handled under one roof, which is what keeps revision cycles short.
2. Rapid Prototyping
Before committing to tooling, you receive functional prototypes for evaluation: fit, finish, boot behaviour, peripheral compatibility and field usability. Prototype iterations are typically measured in weeks rather than quarters, so you can validate with real customers before mass production starts.
3. Custom Branding & Enclosure
OEM branding is available on existing platforms — your logo, colour, packaging, silk-screen, boot logo and accessory kit. Where the platform itself needs to change, we move into ODM territory: modified housings, new bezels, changed port positions, custom keypads or a completely new industrial design developed for your brand and your market position.
4. Mass Production
Monthly capacity reaches 30,000 units across ten standardised assembly lines, which means niche custom runs and large seasonal orders are scheduled on the same floor without one starving the other. Production planning, component sourcing and lifecycle management (EOL notices, alternative components) are part of the service, not an afterthought.
5. Quality Assurance & Compliance
Every unit passes incoming component inspection, in-process checks, mandatory aging/burn-in and final functional testing before packing. We operate to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, and products are certified to the standards your market requires — CE, RoHS, FCC and CCC, with additional regional certification supported on request. Test records and inspection reports can be supplied with shipments.
6. After-Sales & Lifecycle Support
Hardware support continues after the container leaves Shenzhen. We provide spare-part kits, RMA handling, DOA replacement terms, firmware updates and technical documentation, plus remote troubleshooting with your service team. Response commitments are agreed in the supply contract rather than left to chance.
How a Project Runs With DcaPOS
- Requirement review — you share the use case, target price, volume and certification needs; we confirm feasibility and propose a platform or a custom route.
- Quotation & specification — itemised BOM-level quotation with tooling, sample and unit costs separated, so nothing appears later as a surprise.
- Sampling — prototype or pre-production samples shipped for your evaluation and your customers’ field test.
- Design freeze & tooling — final drawings, artwork, packaging and compliance plan signed off.
- Mass production & QC — scheduled build with in-line inspection, aging and pre-shipment inspection reports.
- Delivery & support — export packing, shipping coordination and ongoing spare-parts and RMA support.
OEM or ODM — Which One Do You Need?
Choose OEM if you already have a product definition and want it manufactured under your brand: the fastest and most economical route, with your logo, packaging and documentation on a proven platform.
Choose ODM if you want a product that does not yet exist in our catalogue: we handle industrial design, mechanical and electronic engineering, firmware, certification and production, and you own the market positioning. See the full breakdown on our OEM/ODM services page.
Service Standards You Can Hold Us To
- Quotation response within one business day for standard platforms; 3–5 business days for custom engineering scopes.
- Named account engineer for every OEM/ODM project, reachable directly rather than through a ticket queue.
- Written quality plan and inspection criteria before production, not after a defect appears.
- Spare parts availability committed for the product lifecycle, not just the warranty window.
- NDA and exclusivity terms available for private-label and co-developed products.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the minimum order quantity for a custom POS terminal?
MOQ depends on how far the product deviates from an existing platform. Logo, colour and packaging changes on a standard model start far lower than a new enclosure with new tooling. Send us the requirement and we will quote the real number instead of a blanket figure.
How long does an ODM project take from concept to delivery?
A modification of an existing platform is typically weeks; a completely new industrial design with new tooling and certification takes considerably longer. We give you a milestone schedule at quotation stage and update it at each gate.
Can you manufacture from our own drawings and BOM?
Yes. We regularly build to customer specifications, including customer-supplied PCB designs, and can take responsibility for sourcing, assembly, testing and export packaging.
Do you support small trial orders before mass production?
Yes — pilot batches are common for new market launches and channel testing, and they run on the same line and inspection standard as volume orders.
What certifications can you provide?
CE, RoHS, FCC and CCC are standard for the relevant product lines, and we support additional regional certification as part of the project plan. Certificates and test reports are supplied with the shipment.
How is after-sales handled for overseas customers?
Through spare-part kits, agreed RMA terms and remote technical support with your local service team. For larger accounts we can discuss local service partnerships and stocked spares.
